Nashik Local Body Election Results 2025 LIVE: Nashik’s civic body elections are centered on the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC), which comprises 31 wards electing a total of 122 corporator seats.
Nashik’s electorate is among the many urban voters contributing to the democratic process in Maharashtra’s civic governance renewal.
Six wards in Nashik district’s Sinnar, Ozar and Chandwad that went to polls on Saturday recorded 49.47 per cent voting. In Ward No. 2 in Sinnar, a 25-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly attempting to vote by impersonating his brother using a fake Aadhaar card, they said.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday hailed the performance of the ruling Mahayuti alliance in the local body elections, saying the results indicated continued public support for the alliance in upcoming municipal polls.
Speaking to reporters after the declaration of results, Shinde congratulated voters and party workers, noting that the Mahayuti had earlier succeeded in the Lok Sabha, Legislative Assembly and municipal corporation elections. “There are clear indications that the Mahayuti alliance will also be successful in the forthcoming municipal elections,” he said.
Shinde said the Bharatiya Janata Party had secured a “century” of wins, while the Shiv Sena had achieved a “half-century” in the local polls. He rejected claims that the Shiv Sena’s influence was limited to Thane, saying the party’s presence had expanded across Maharashtra, “from Chandrapur to Bandra”.
He thanked elected representatives, ministers, MLAs and party workers for their efforts and congratulated Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on the BJP’s performance. Shinde said the Shiv Sena had emerged as the second-largest party in the state and claimed the alliance’s strike rate matched that seen in recent assembly and parliamentary elections.

“The results show that people prefer development over politics. The Mahayuti’s big victory in these elections is just a trailer. The Mahayuti will repeat the same performance in the upcoming municipal corporation elections,” Shinde said at a presser.
