Narsingpur Constituency Election Result 2023:The ballot counting process has concluded for the Narsingpur constituency in Madhya Pradesh, with the BJP securing the seat for the third consecutive term. BJP’s Prahlad Singh clinched victory by 1.10 lakh votes, marking a significant win over Congress’ Lakhan Singh Patel, who trailed behind with a margin of 31,310 votes and secured only 78,916 votes, resulting in his second consecutive defeat.
In this electoral battle, the BJP and the Congress were the primary contenders for the seat. The BJP aimed to maintain its stronghold in the state, striving for a third consecutive term, while the Congress sought to make a comeback. In 2018, BJP came to power for the second time in a row. The incumbent Jalam Singh Patel, also known as Munna Bhiaya, secured 87,787 (50.93%) votes in a neck-a-neck battle with Lakhan Singh Patel who bagged 72,934 (42.29%), defeating the latter with a marginal trail of 14,903 votes. In 2013, BJP emerged victors by a significant margin, with Jalam Singh Patel securing 89,921 (57.25%) votes for the party. He was pitched against INC’s Sunil Jaiswal who secured merely 41,440 (26.39%) votes.
