Lok Sabha Polls Phase 7: In the upcoming Phase 7 of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, a total of 57 parliamentary constituencies across eight states and Union Territories will vote on June 1. The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 or general elections to select representatives of the 18th Lok Sabha is being held across seven phases and results will be announced on June 4. A total of 904 candidates are in the fray in the seventh phase. A total of 13 seats each in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, nine seats in West Bengal, eight seats in Bihar, six seats in Odisha, four seats in Himachal Pradesh, three seats in Jharkhand, and one seat in the Union Territory of Chandigarh will go to polls in the last phase.

The first phase was held on April 19, encompassing 102 constituencies spread across 21 states. The second phase took place on April 26, covering 89 constituencies in 13 states. On May 7, seats in 94 constituencies across 12 states went to go to polls. The fourth phase took place on May 13, with 96 seats in 10 states up for voting, while the fifth phase took place on May 20, spanning 49 seats across 8 states. The sixth phase voting happened in 57 seats spread across 7 states on May 25.

The Phase 7 of the 18th general Lok Sabha elections will take place on June 1. Voting will begin at 7 AM and end at 5 PM.

Voter turnout recap in earlier phases

In the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, the first phase recorded a voter turnout of 66.14 per cent. Subsequently, the second phase, covering 89 constituencies saw a turnout of 66.71 percent. Phase 3 encompassing 94 Parliamentary constituencies saw a voter turnout of 65.68 percent. The fourth phase registered a final voter turnout of 69.16 per cent. The fifth phase’s final voter turnout was 62.2 per cent. The sixth phase which was held on Saturday saw an approximate voter turnout of 61.98 per cent.
