The Congress party on Tuesday released its 11th list of candidates comprising 17 names to be fielded across four states. The candidates list includes five names for Andhra Pradesh, three from Bihar, eight from Bihar and one from West Bengal.

The Congress has fielded YS Sharmila Reddy from the Kapada Lok Sabha constituency, a stronghold of the Reddy family. The seat is currently held by YSR Congress party’s Avinash Reddy, Sharmila’s cousin. Sharmila joined the Congress in January this year and serves as the president of the party’s state unit.

Other candidates on the list include MM Pallam Raju from Kakinada, Mohammad Jawed from Kishanganj, Janardhan Dehury from Sundargarh and Munish Tamang from Darjeeling.

The party also released its list of candidates for Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. The two states, along with Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, are scheduled to go to polls simultaneously with the Lok Sabha elections.
