Lok Sabha Election 2024: India is ready for the first phase of its seven-phase Lok Sabha Elections 2024. A total of 102 constituencies across 21 states and union territories (UTs) will be voting in the first phase of the 18th LS Elections. While 10 states and UTs will be fully covered, 11 states and UTs will be partially covered. Some of the major states that are going to polls in Phase 1 include Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Uttarakhand among others.

Voting in Phase 1 of Lok Sabha Election 2024: Date and Time

The voting for the first phase of the 18th Lok Sabha elections will take commence on April 19. As per the Election Commission’s schedule, the second phase of voting will be held on April 26, the third phase will be held on May 7, fourth phase will be held on May 13, fifth phase of voting will be held on May 20, sixth phase will be held on May 25 and the last phase will be held on June 1. The counting of votes will be held on June 4.

The voting will begin at 8:00 am and conclude at 5:00 pm on April 19. One hour extra is provided as the buffer period for voters who are already present in the voting line.

In addition to the Lok Sabha elections, assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Sikkim are also scheduled to take place concurrently during this period.
