India is a nation that has refused to be cowed by successive attacks and recent developments in the form of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the foundation-laying ceremony of a new Kalki Temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal are evidence of a “cultural renaissance” that is currently underway, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday.
“Today, the foundation stone of another holy place is being laid as a result of the devotion of saints and the spirit of the people. I have had the privilege of laying the foundation stone of the grand Kalki Dham in the presence of Acharyas and saints. I am confident that Kalki Dham will emerge as another great centre of the Indian faith,” the Prime Minister said after laying the foundation stone of the Kalki Dham in UP’s Sambhal.
The Kalki Dham is being constructed by the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust whose chairman is Acharya Pramod Krishnam. The ceremony was held in the presence of several saints, religious leaders and other dignitaries. The PM also unveiled the model of the Shri Kalki Dham temple ahead of his address to the gathering.
“A few days ago, we saw the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, ending a centuries-long wait. I have been told that the Kalki Dham temple is also set to come up after a wait of 18 years. It appears that many such significant milestones were left behind for me to accomplish. I promise you that with the blessings of the people and the saints and Acharyas, I will continue to complete all such similar tasks in the future as well,” PM Modi said addressing the gathering.
