Jharkhand Elections 2024 BJP Manifesto: Home Minister Amit Shah has launched Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) election manifesto titled ‘Sankalp Patra’ in Ranchi for the Jharkhand Assembly polls. Shah outlined key commitments if the party came into power. Shah stated that the party will implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Jharkhand if it wins the upcoming assembly elections.

Key points from the manifesto

A Displacement Commission will be formed to assist people in the rehabilitation of individuals who have been displaced by industries and mining operations in the state. The Home Minister stated that job creation will be a priority and pledges to generate 5 lakh jobs which will have 2.87 lakh government positions. The BJP also plans to address the SARNA religious code issue and ensure the well-being of tribal communities.

A new law will be made to reclaim illegal land occupancy by the alleged infiltrators and illegal migrants will be deported. Shah has mentioned that the BJP will initiate investigations by the CBI and SIT into the alleged exam paper leaks in Jharkhand and will make sure that the culprits get punished. He claimed that ‘’Mati, Beti, Roti ‘’ (land, daughter, and food) are in danger because of the infiltrators and asserted that the party is committed to protecting indigenous rights.

The Home Minister condemned the current government headed by JMM for helping the infiltrators and said that the demographic shift is very prevalent in Jharkhand as the tribal population is reducing. Shah labeled Jharkhand as the most corrupt state and also alleged that communal appeasement is at an all-time high.

Jharkhand will be holding an 81-member legislative assembly and it will be conducted in two phases. One is scheduled to take place on 13 November and another one is on 20 November. The result of the elections is scheduled to be out on 23 November. Shah is also scheduled to address several rallies across the state.
