What are exit polls?

Exit polls, conducted by private organizations, aim to predict election results by surveying voters as they leave polling stations. The assumption is that individuals are more likely to provide honest responses immediately after voting, while the experience is still fresh in their minds. Unlike pre-election polls, exit polls likely reflects actual voting behavior. Although they can occasionally be inaccurate, they remain highly popular in India.
