Social media influencers Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani appeared before the Maharashtra Cyber on Monday to record their statements related to the ongoing investigation into the “India’s Got Latent” case. Both arrived at the Maharashtra Cyber headquarters in Mahape, Navi Mumbai, in the afternoon, following summons issued by the authorities.
An official confirmed that the duo was questioned as part of an inquiry into an obscenity case. The case was registered after Allahbadia and others allegedly made inappropriate and obscene remarks during an episode of “India’s Got Laten’ by Samay Raina.
The Maharashtra Cyber team is actively investigating the matter, with statements from prominent influencers being recorded as part of the process. The case has sparked significant attention, drawing public debate over the responsibility of content creators on digital platforms.
Recently, the Supreme Court of India has also cleared their stance and mentioned the words used by Ranveer Allahabadia as “disgusting”, “filthy”, and “insulting. However, the Court directed that no new First Information Reports (FIRs) shall be filed against YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia
