The Air Warriors today took their 84th glorious flight in the air as the World’s fourth largest Indian Air Force celebrates their 84th anniversary. The force that is the backbone of Indian defense system had a glorious celebration at the nation’s biggest Hindan Air base. In the presence of Army Chief Dalbir Suhag and Airforce’ Honorary Captain Sachin Tendulkar, the Air Chief Arup Raha addressed the nation on this occasion.
The show witnessed a grandeur of IAF skills, Air show and the display of exemplary valor of the Air warriors. IAF’s proud possession air crafts were also put to display at the Hindon Air Base including Sarang, PC-7 Aircraft.

With this the IAF is all set to acquire 36 Rafale aircrafts, the deal for which has been signed between Indian government and France. Arup Raha said ‘Acquisition of 36 Rafale aircrafts in next few years could greatly enhance our operational capability in near term.’
The celebration also marked remembering and honoring the bravest of brave of the men in blue. Awards were conferred by the Indian Airforce in Vayu Sena Medals, Vayu Sena Medals(Gallantry) & Vishist Seva Medals categories.

The IAF Chief talked about the stratergies of IAF in tackling terrorism while also addressing the Pathankot attacks that shook the nation. Raha said that the attack on the Pathankot airbase is a stark reminder of the times we live in. He added that we are getting smarter and smarter and are fully prepared for any contingency, referring to the Pakistan initiated terrorist attacks in the recent times.
