The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather advisory for Monday, saying that a cyclonic circulation is likely to cause light to moderate widespread rainfall in many places, with isolated heavy rain over Tamil Nadu, Kerala-Mahe, Puducherry, Rayalaseema, and South Interior Karnataka, which will decrease after that.

Additionally, a fresh western disturbance will influence North India, which is likely to bring light rainfall and snowfall to isolated areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, starting from November 7 onward.

According to IMD’s forecast, light to moderately scattered or very widespread rains and heavy rainfall are expected in the next few days for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as well. However, no significant weather changes are predicted over the rest of the country.

Delhi gasps amid poor AQI

A report by RWFC says that the Delhi skies may see shallow fog in the morning as the overall air quality index (AQI) in the National Capital continues to deteriorate. The air quality in Delhi remains in the ‘critical’ category as of Monday morning, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR).

Under the final stage of the pollution control plan, the state government announced a ‘work from home’ policy for 50% of government staff until the next orders.
