The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Kerala on Thursday. It also forecasted a wet spell over Maharashtra, Gujarat and south Rajasthan from November 25 onwards. Meanwhile, a low pressure area is likely to form over south Andaman sea and neighbourhood around Sunday and intensify into a depression over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Anadaman sea next week. 

A look a weather conditions across several states today:- 

  • Delhi: Delhi will experience mainly clear sky on Thursday with a shallow fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 26 and 10 degrees Celsius respectively. On Wednesday, the national capital recorded maximum and minimum temperatures of 27.6 and 10.4 degrees Celsius respectively.
  • West Bengal, Sikkim: Kolkata will witness a mainly clear sky today. The maximum and minimum temperatures are most likely to hover around 28 and 19 degrees Celsius respectively. The dry weather is most likely to prevail over Sikkim and all the districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
  • Jammu and Kashmir: The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will experience mainly dry weather today with isolated fog in the morning over the plains of Kashmir valley. It is also likely to witness isolated light rains or snowfall at few places. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Srinagar would be around 12 and -2 degrees Celsius respectively.
  • Himachal Pradesh: Shimla, the state capital will experience sunny weather on Thursday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle at 21 and 11 degrees Celsius respectively. The dry weather will prevail in the plains, middle hills, and higher hill areas. In the past 24 hours, the lowest temperature was recorded in Keylong at (-)2.7 degree Celsius.
