Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday hit out at the INDIA bloc saying that the Opposition has “diseases worse than cancer”.
Addressing a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh’s Shravasti, PM Modi said, “The INDI alliance has diseases worse than cancer. They can destroy the whole of India if they spread. These three diseases can be more destructive for the country than cancer. These people are communal and favour nepotism.”
He asserted that the Opposition did nothing for 60 years and are now united to stop the Prime Minister and his work.
“In UP, the flop film of two boys has been launched again,” the PM said that the “do shehzade” (two princes) will “undo the work done by Modi”.
By saying “do shehzade”, the prime minister was making an apparent reference to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav who had contested the 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections as alliance partners.
He alleged that the two parties will take back people’s houses that have been built by PM Modi, close people’s Jan Dhan accounts, withdraw their money, cut off their electricity connections.
Accusing the INDIA bloc parties of indulging in the politics of appeasement, he said, “The Congress says the first right on the country’s property is of Muslims. But Modi says the poor of the country have the first right on the property.”
The Congress wants to snatch your earnings and give them to its vote bank which indulges in vote jihad, he told the people.
He also said that the Congress will scrap the the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and impose Article 370 again in Kashmir.
“This means that the terrorists who are in the jails today will be called to the PM’s house by the Congress and fed biryani. If the Congress comes, they will save the corrupt,” he said.
Targetting the SP, Modi said under that party’s government in UP, “rate card” was fixed to appointment DMs and DGPs, and provide jobs. They would release payments without having work been done, the prime minister added.
The PM addressed the rally in support of BJP candidate from Shravasti, Saket Mishra, son of Nripendra Misra, former bureaucrat and chairman of the Ram Temple construction committee. Saket is fighting against Ram Shiromani Verma of the SP.
The polling in Shravasti will be held in the sixth phase on May 25.
