In his first statement after losing from the New Delhi seat in Delhi polls, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal congratulated the BJP on the victory and said, “I wish that the hope with which the people of Delhi have voted for the BJP, the party will fulfill it.”

He further said that his party has always worked for the welfare of the city and will play a crucial new role of the Opposition. “We will play role of constructive opposition but will also be available to people of Delhi,” Kejriwal said.

“I congratulate the party workers who fought the polls well despite all the adversities,” he added. The AAP chief further said that his party workers “are not in politics for power, instead we consider it as medium to serve people”.
