Hyderabad Rain: Heavy showers in Hyderabad have brought a number of troubles for the people, especially the office-goers who faced severe difficulties reaching their offices. The Cyberabad Police earlier requested the offices to allow employees work-from-home on Friday due to the inclement weather conditions.
The India Meteorology Department (IMD) has sounded an alert for more rain and thundershowers in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy immediately asked the officials to be fully prepared to deal with the situation arising out of the rains. He has also directed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and other civic agencies to swiftly address the waterlogging and traffic issues in the city.
Flights diverted, advisory issued
Due to bad weather in Hyderabad, three flight diversions have occurred so far. IndiGo flights from Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune have been diverted to Vijayawada, reported ANI citing the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Official.
Meanwhile, IndiGo took to X and issued a travel advisory for its passengers. It said the rain has slowed more than just the skies, roads across Hyderabad are experiencing heavier-than-usual traffic.

Hyderabad going Kolkata way?
Last week, Kolkata was drenched following hours of torrential rain leading to heavy traffic and flooding in the city. Several underpasses got submerged, vehicles were inundated as showers led to massive waterlogging across the city. Even Durga puja pandals in many areas submerged following the rain.
People found it challenging to move in the knee-deep water. Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee declared Durga puja holidays in advance and asked offices to allow work-from-home to its employees.
Hyderabad is also seeing chaos following hours of heavy rain on Friday.
