Holi celebrations turned gruesome in Bengaluru on Sunday when three men were found to be dead in a pool of blood by the Karnatala Police. The three men were labourers from Bihar, got into an altercation with three more men at an under-construction apartment in Bengaluru.

The argument between the drunk workers escalated into a violent fight which took place on the third floor of Poorva Wall Avenue Apartments, where they had gathered to celebrate Holi. The victims have been identified as Ansu (22), Radhe Shyam (23), and Deepu, all from Bihar.

The workers had been given a three-day holiday for Holi, and even the site supervisor was on leave.

What led to the violent fight?

The fight reportedly began when one of the victims received a call from the sister of one of the accused workers. The victim had been in contact with her for some time, which caused a heated argument. The situation quickly turned violent, with the workers attacking each other using bottles and iron rods, the police officer said.

C K Baba, the Superintendent of Police for Bengaluru Rural, told the media that the police got a call about the murder, following which they immidiately rushed to the spot. On reaching the place, the police gt to know that the victims were plumbing and construction workers.
