Bollywood actors including Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, and Kangana Ranaut have expressed deep sorrow and shock over the tragic crash of Air India Flight AI171 near Ahmedabad on Thursday. The flight, en route to London Gatwick, crashed shortly after takeoff with 242 passengers on board.

As news of the accident spread, film celebrities took to social media to share their condolences and prayers for those affected.

“Shocked and speechless at the Air India crash. Only prayers at this time,” Akshay Kumar wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Sunny Deol called the incident “devastating” and said, “Praying with all my heart for survivors — may they be found and receive the care they need. May those who lost their lives rest in peace, and may their families find strength in this unimaginable time.”

Riteish Deshmukh shared his grief, saying, “Heartbroken and in shock after hearing about the tragic plane crash. My heart goes out to all the passengers, their families, and everyone affected on the ground.”

Actor Parineeti Chopra also posted, “Can’t imagine the pain of the family members of the ill-fated Air India flight today. Praying for God to give them strength during this time.”

Randeep Hooda described the incident as “heartbreaking,” while actor-humanitarian Sonu Sood offered brief but heartfelt prayers. “Prayers for Air India flight that crashed in Ahmedabad after takeoff to London,” he wrote.

Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut also reacted to the tragedy, stating, “The news of the Ahmedabad plane crash is extremely tragic and painful. I pray to God for everyone’s safety, may God provide strength to all affected families in this hour of crisis.”

Rescue and emergency teams continue to work at the crash site, while the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is investigating the cause. No official information on casualties has been released yet.
