Unidentified assailants opened fire outside the residence of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ winner and controversial YouTuber Elvish Yadav in Gurugram early Sunday, sparking panic in the upscale locality.

The incident took place between 5.30 and 6 am when three men on motorcycles sprayed over two dozen rounds before fleeing the spot. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Senior Gurugram Police officials rushed to the scene soon after the attack, while forensic teams began collecting bullet casings and other evidence. A detailed probe has been initiated.

“Three masked miscreants opened fire outside the residence of YouTuber and Big Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram’s Sector 57. The incident took place at around 5:30 AM. More than a dozen rounds were fired. Elvish Yadav was not at his residence at the time of the firing,” Sandeep Kumar, PRO Gurugram Police, told ANI.

Fresh security concerns for Elvish Yadav

The shooting has once again raised questions about Yadav’s security. The YouTuber, who frequently makes headlines for both his popularity and controversies, is now at the centre of an intensified police investigation.

Earlier, the Supreme Court has put an interim halt on legal proceedings against YouTuber Elvish Yadav in the alleged rave party case, where snake venom and other banned substances were reportedly supplied and consumed.

A bench of Justices M M Sundresh and Joymalya Bagchi has also sought responses from the Uttar Pradesh government and complainant Gaurav Gupta on Yadav’s plea. Yadav had moved the apex court seeking to quash both the chargesheet filed against him and the summons issued in the matter.

While the motive remains unclear, officials said all possible angles are being explored.
