The second edition of FHW Exhibiton in Goa saw a Hospitality Think Tank where 10 GMs from Goa’s leading hotel brands participated. At the roundtable discussion, the hoteliers opined that India’s domestic market will drive future growth in room nights due to several factors including affordable airfares by low cost airlines, higher purchasing power and depreciation of the rupee escalating overseas travel costs.
The GMs came from Novotel Goa, Alila Diwa Goa, Hard Rock Hotel Goa, Planet Hollywood Beach Resort, Goa Marriott, Lemon Tree Hotels, The Lalit Hotel Resort Goa, Hyatt Place Goa, Azzure Hotels by Spree Hotels Goa and Royal Orchid Hotel Goa.
The Power of Purchase, a panel discussion by Hospitality Purchase Managers Forum (HPMF), was also organised at the event. Today also saw the Mixology Championship Goa, organised for the very first time, where Goa’s top bar tenders showcased their flair.
Alongside, day also witnessed the Wedding Cake category displays under the ongoing Goa Culinary Challenge.
The 29th edition of Food Hospitality World is being organised in Goa from August 11-13, 2016. The total expo space is more than 5000 sq m at the venue, Dr SP Mukherjee Stadium. The expected number of exhibitor participation is 150 plus, with an expected footfall of more than 4000 visitors. The important industry partnerships at FHW Goa 2016 is Culinary Forum of Goa (CFG), Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum (HPMF) and Indian Professional Housekeepers Association (IPHA).
