Faridabad Assembly Election Result 2024: As the vote counting progresses in Faridabad district, early trends show BJP’s Vipul Goel leading from the Faridabad constituency by a margin of 13,188 votes against Congress’s Lakhan Kumar Singla after six rounds of counting. The vote tally began with the counting of postal ballots, and the main contest in this urban region is between the BJP and Congress.

At 10 am, BJP’s Rajesh Nagar was leading the Tigaon seat by 4,825 votes, while a close race was unfolding in Faridabad, with Vipul Goel holding a lead of nearly 5,000 votes. Over in Badkhal, BJP’s Dhanesh Adlakha had gained a lead of 4,683 votes, while Congress candidates Raghuveer Teotia and Neeraj Sharma were ahead in the Prithla and NIT constituencies, respectively.

In the Badkhal assembly, Dhanesh Adlakha secured 5,371 votes in the first round, with Congress receiving 2,868 votes. Meanwhile, Congress’s Lakhan Singla gained momentum in Faridabad.

In Prithla, BJP’s Tekchand Sharma was ahead by 1,838 votes, while Raghuveer Teotia of Congress followed closely behind. Over in the NIT assembly, Neeraj Sharma from Congress led the pack, with BJP’s Satish trailing after the first round, having received 3,052 votes compared to Neeraj Sharma’s 4,154.

In the previous election, BJP won 4 out of 6 seats, with Congress securing the NIT seat and an independent candidate, Nayyanpal Rawat, winning Prithla. This time around, Moolchand Sharma of BJP, who had held the Ballabhgarh seat for two terms, faced a challenge from Congress’s Parag Sharma. Meanwhile, BJP replaced Seema Trikha with Dhanesh Adlakha for Badkhal, while Congress fielded new faces in four out of six constituencies.

AAP also entered the race with candidates like Abhas Chandela in Tigaon, affecting both BJP and Congress votes. The Faridabad district, with 1,794,552 voters across six assembly seats, determined the fate of 64 candidates. Voting took place on October 5, and the results were expected by 1 p.m. that day.
