The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan on Thursday in connection with a money laundering case related to the Delhi Waqf Board. Khan was arrested following questioning by the ED earlier today (April 18). Shortly after being apprehended, Khan took to social media and posted a video.

The case against Khan originates from a CBI FIR and three Delhi Police complaints. According to ED, Khan allegedly acquired significant illegal proceeds through the illicit recruitment of staff in the Delhi Waqf Board and invested them in immovable assets under the names of his associates, IE reported. Prior to his arrest, the ED had conducted raids at the legislator’s premises.

Responding to Khan’s arrest, AAP leader and Delhi minister Atishi vowed to persist in its fight against the BJP, stating that they will continue to fight against BJP’s “dictatorship”. “No matter how much you (BJP) scare us; we are not going to bow down, we are not going to be afraid! We will continue to fight strongly against your dictatorship,” she posted on X.
