The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expanded its early lead by 43 seats to make a 27-year comeback in Delhi. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is lagging far behind with 27 leads.
According to ECI websites, the BJP is in the lead in 42 constituencies and AAP in 28 constituencies. However, when we look at the margin of votes, BJP leads 42 constituencies, on 9 of them they are leading with a margin of under 3,000 votes.
For AAP, the margin of under 3,000 votes can be seen in 8 out of 30 seats that they are seen to lead.
As of now, the counting of votes is still underway, with most rounds of counting at 11/26 or 13/26. It remains to be seen if there are some swings later in the day or if BJP maintains its position till the end.
