The Indian Embassy in Canada on Saturday, April 5 shared that an Indian national was tragically stabbed to death in Rockland, Ottawa. They informed that the Canadian police have taken a suspect into custody and investigation was underway. While no further details were revealed, the Embassy told that they were in close contact through local community association to ensure providing “all possible assistance to the bereaved”.
News broadcaster CBS News shared that there was one injured and one arrested in Clarence-Rockland however, it is unclear whether it is the same incident as reported by the Indian Embassy. This incident occurred just 40 km away from Ottawa and the police have not disclosed the cause of death or any charges will be levied on the accused.
