Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s nephew Alishah Parkar got married today while his uncle his kept a close watch virtually through skype on the lavish wedding from Karachi, according to sources.
The youngest son of Dawood’s sister Haseena Parkar tied the knot with Ayesha Nagani at a mosque in Nagpada area in South Mumbai. The nikah ceremony is going to take place at the Tulip Star Hotel in the opulent Juhu area.
Dawood’s brother Iqbal Kaskar along with other members of the Parkar family were likely among those who attended the wedding. After fugitive gangster Chhota Rajan’s men tried to attack Dawood in 2011, the Mumbai Police crime branch had ensured an anti-extortion cell to keep a strong vigil at the event. Alishah’s sister Umaira got married in a low-key affair in May 2015, a year after Haseena’s death. Approximately, 100 people are said to have attended the event that took place at 11am in the morning and had lasted an hour or so amisdst strong security presence. The family steered through the number of media persons waiting outside the Mosque.
Dawood, who is accused of plotting 13 serial blasts in Mumbai, is the accused founder of a crime syndicate company called D-Company in Mumbai.
