Congress will not hold party leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra responsible for losing the electoral battle on June 4, and instead remove Mallikarjun Kharge as party president, Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed on Monday.

Shah predicted that Congress will hold a press conference after the results are declared and say that they lost the elections because of the EVMs.

‘’I have all the data for the first five phases. PM Modi has crossed 310 seats in the five phases of Lok Sabha polls. On June 4, Rahul will not cross more than 40 seats and Akhilesh Yadav will not even get 4 seats,’’ he said at an election rally in Khushinagar Lok Sabha constituency of Uttar Pradesh.

Shah added that ‘bhai behan’ (Rahul, Priyanka) will not be held responsible for the loss and Kharge will lose his job. Reacting to Mani Shankar Aiyar’s comment on treading cautiously with Pakistan as it has the “atom bomb”, Shah said that the BJP will get back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and is not sacred of bombs.

Addressing the rally, he said PM Narendra Modi was born in a backward class family whereas Rahul and Akhilesh were born with silver spoons. Both of them are unaware of the issues faced by the people of Purvanchal.

The two ‘’shehzade’’ (Rahul and Akhilesh) were involved in the corruption of Rs 12 lakh crore while PM Modi has never faced any such allegation, Shah said. “PM Modi has not taken a single day off in his tenure whereas Rahul used to go to Thailand every six months, they don’t like the weather in India,” added the BJP President in his speech.

Shah further claimed that the Sahara fund scam happened during the Samajwadi Party’s tenure in Uttar Pradesh, and Akhilesh’s party used to run on its fund. He said that his party has made sure that people get their money back and the refunding process is underway.

The opposition party has said in their five-year reign they will make one PM every year, Shah stated, adding that such a scenario would lead to the rollback of the triple talaq law, implementation of Article 370, and negotiations with terrorists.

‘’Who will respond to Pakistan, save you from Covid, abolish terrorism and naxalism, and will take care of well-being of 60 crore people?’’ he asked.
