Bypoll Election Results 2025 Live Updates: Byelections to assembly constituencies in six states and one Union Territory were held on November 11. The bypolls took place to fill vacancies in constituencies spread across Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Telangana, Punjab, Mizoram and Odisha, the Election Commission said.
Except for Jammu and Kashmir, all states conducted a Special Summary Revision of electoral rolls ahead of polling, with July 1, 2025 as the qualifying date. For J&K’s two seats, Budgam and Nagrota, the final rolls were published on May 5, 2025.
The seats that went to polls included Budgam (resignation of Omar Abdullah) and Nagrota (death of Devender Singh Rana) in J&K, Anta in Rajasthan (disqualification of Kanwarlal), Ghatsila (ST) in Jharkhand (death of Ramdas Soren), Jubilee Hills in Telangana (death of Maganti Gopinath), Tarn Taran in Punjab (death of Dr Kashmir Singh Sohal), Dampa (ST) in Mizoram (death of Lalrintluanga Saila) and Nuapada in Odisha (death of Rajendra Dholakia).
Among the constituencies, Dampa in Mizoram recorded the highest turnout at 82.3%, followed by Anta (80.3%), Nuapada (79.4%) and Nagrota (75.1%). Jubilee Hills in Telangana saw the lowest participation at 48.5%.

Mizoram’s Dampa (ST) constituency is witnessing a four-cornered battle that has drawn statewide attention. The key contenders include Lalhmingthanga Sailo of the BJP, John Rotluangliana of the Congress, R. Lalthangliana of the MNF, and Vanlalsailova representing the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM). The bypoll was necessitated following the death of MNF MLA Lalrintluanga Sailo in July.
Jubilee Hills Bypoll Results 2025 Live: Counting for Jubilee Hills byelection to begin shortly
Counting of votes will begin at 8 am on Thursday at the Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad’s Yousufguda area. The process will start with the counting of 101 postal ballots, followed by the EVM votes.
District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner RV Kannan said that all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure a smooth and transparent counting process.
A total of 42 counting tables have been set up at the venue with special approval from the Election Commission, and the results are expected to be finalised in up to 10 rounds of counting.
During the polling held on November 11, more than 1.94 lakh votes were cast in the constituency.
