By-polls result 2024 winners list: Opposition INDIA bloc won big in the by-poll results that were announced on Saturday, just a month after the Lok Sabha election results, bagging 10 out of the 13 seats. The by-elections took place on Wednesday in 13 Assembly constituencies across seven states in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Tamil Nadu. In Jalandhar West, AAP candidate Mohinder Bhagat defeated BJP’s Sheetal Angural, while in Dehra by-poll, Kamlesh Thakur, wife of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, defeated BJP candidate Hoshyar Singh.

By-election results 2024: List of winners and losers

-Punjab (Jalandhar West seat): AAP candidate Mohinder Bhagat (Winner) – BJP candidate Sheetal Angural (Loser) – Margin 37,325 votes.

-Himachal Pradesh (Dehra): Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur (Winner) – BJP candidate Hoshyar Singh (Loser) – Margin 9,399 votes.

-West Bengal (Raiganj seat): TMC candidate Krishna Kalyani (Winner) – BJP’s Manas Kumar Ghosh (Lost) – Margin 50,077 votes.

-West Bengal (Bagda seat) – TMC candidate Madhuparna Thakur (Winner) – BJP candidate Binay Kumar Biswas (Loser) – Margin 33,455 votes.

-Himachal Pradesh (Hamirpur seat): BJP candidate Ashish Sharma (Winner) – Congress candidate Dr Pushpinder Verma (Lost) – Margin 1,571 votes.

-Himachal Pradesh (Nalagarh seat): Congress candidate Hardeep Singh Bawa (Winner) – BJP candidate KL Thakur (Lost) – Margin 8,990 votes.

-West Bengal (Ranaghat Dakshin seat): TMC candidate Mukut Mani Adhikari (Winner) – BJP candidate Manoj Kumar Biswas (Lost) – Margin 39,048 votes.

-Uttarakhand (Badrinath seat): Congress’ Lakhapat Singh Butola (Winner) – Rajendra Singh Bhandari (Loser) – Margin 5,224 votes

-Madhya Pradesh (Amarwara seat) – BJP’s Kamlesh Pratap Shah (Winner) – Congress candidate Dheeran Sah Sukharam Das (Loser) – Margin 3,027 votes.

-Uttarakhand (Manglaur seat): Congress’ Qazi Mohammad Nizamuddin (Winner) – BJP candidate Kartar Sing Bhadana (Lost) – Margin 422 votes.

-Bihar (Rupauli seat): Independent candidate Shankar Singh (Winner) – Janata Dal (United)’s Kaladhar Prasad Mandal (Lost) – Margin 8,246 votes.

-Tamil Nadu (Vikravandi seat): DMK candidate Anniyur Siva (Winner) – PMK candidate Anbumani C (Loser) – Margin 67,757 votes.
