In a significant bureaucratic shake-up, Bihar has transferred 41 IAS officers, including several district magistrates. The reshuffle, announced by the General Administration Department on Saturday, affects key administrative positions across the state.

Bhojpur DM Raj Kumar was made the managing director of Bihar State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (COMFED), Sheohar DM Pankaj Kumar was appointed director (primary education) in the Education Department, according to a notification issued by the General Administration Department late on Saturday.

Mohd Nayyar Iqbal, Director of the Mines and Geology Department, will now serve as Special Secretary in the Food and Consumer Protection Department. Rakesh Kumar, DM of Jamui, has been appointed Director of Chakbandi in the Directorate of Land Records and Survey.

Mithlesh Mishra, Director of Mid-Day Meals in the Education Department, will take over as DM of Lakhisarai. Navin Kumar, DM of Rohtas, has been transferred to Commissioner in the Transport Department.

Arraria DM Inayat Khan has been designated Registrar in the State Cooperative Societies Department. Vidya Nand Singh, Deputy Director in the Panchayati Raj Department, will now be Director in the Planning Department.

Other notable appointments include Begusarai DM Roshan Kushwaha who was appointed DM of Samastipur. Sheikhpura DM J Priyadarshani was made director in the Department of Revenue and Land Reform.
