Three coaches of Charminar Express derail at Hyderabad station

Six passengers suffered minor injuries after three coaches of the Chennai-Hyderabad Charminar Express derailed at the Hyderabad Deccan Railway station in Nampally here Wednesday morning, senior Railway officials said. The Hyderabad Deccan railway station is the train’s final destination. South Central Railway (SCR) officials said when the train arrived at the station, it was moving at a slow speed and overshot the last point which caused the derailment of three coaches–S2, S3 and S6.

Tata to build semiconductor factory in Gujarat: N Chandrasekaran

Tata Group will build a semiconductor factory at Dholera in Gujarat, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said on Wednesday. Speaking at the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit here, he said the group is about to start a 20 GW gigafactory for manufacturing lithium ion batteries in Sanand in two months.

Three killed, four injured in car-truck collision in Jharkhand

At least three persons, including a two-year-old boy, were killed and four others injured on Wednesday as their car collided head-on with a truck parked on the roadside in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district, police said. The accident occurred around 3.30 am on National Highway 23 near Chitarpur in Rajrappa, around 60 km from the state capital Ranchi, when the car with 10 passengers on board rammed into the truck, a senior officer said. Delhi govt responds to ACB raids over supply of alleged ‘sub-standard’ drugs

Days after the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) directed a CBI probe into the alleged procurement and supply of spurious and non-standard drugs in government hospitals and mohalla clinics in the national capital, the Delhi government said that all the sub-standard items were brought from the Central government’s portal GeM (Government e Marketplace).
