Punjab: Students fall sick after eating at school mess in Sangrur

Officials said that 18 students from a government school in Punjab’s Sangrur district were rushed to a hospital after complaining of stomach ache and vomiting after eating in the hostel mess. According to Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, the food contractor has been arrested, and an investigation by the sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) has been ordered.

2,100 terrorists arrested in areas outside of Gaza since start of war

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reported that its forces, in coordination with the Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror Genereal Security Service) and Border Police, arrested 15 wanted terrorists throughout Judea and Samaria overnight. The forces also confiscated 5,000 shekels in cash (USD 1,350) intended for funding terrorism, M-16 rifles, incendiary materials and dozens of illegal vehicles. (ANI)

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake jolts Bangladesh

On Saturday morning, an earthquake jolted Bangladesh, causing tremors felt across the country. There was no immediate report of damage or injuries. The 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck the South Asian country at 9:35 a.m., according to the US Geological Survey. According to the USGS, the tremor had a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles), with the epicenter about 8 kilometers (5 miles) east of Ramganj in the southeastern Bangladeshi district Lakshmipur. Government convenes all party meeting ahead of Parliament’s Winter session

Leaders of political parties in Parliament are meeting here on Saturday to discuss the agenda for the Winter session of Parliament beginning Monday.
