Goa nightclub fire: Saurabh Luthra, owner of Birch by Romeo Lane, has issued a statement following the tragic Goa nightclub fire that claimed the lives of 25 people, most of whom died due to suffocation. In a statement shared on his Instagram Story, he said he was “deeply shaken” by the incident and expressed “unwavering solidarity” with the families of victims.

“The management expresses profound grief and is deeply shaken by the tragic loss of lives resulting from the unfortunate incident at Birch,” Luthra said on Instagram.
He added, “In this hour of irreparable sorrow and overwhelming distress, the management stands in unwavering solidarity with the families of the deceased as well as those injured, and conveys its heartfelt condolences with utmost sincerity.”
The statement further said that the management will “extend every possible form of assistance, support and cooperation to the bereaved and affected individuals”.
Goa nightclub fire: 4 arrested, 1 detained; FIR against owners
Following the tragic incident, the police booked club owners Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra and other partners. Arrest warrants have been issued for the owners, and teams have been dispatched to Delhi to track them down.
Four people have been arrested so far, including gate manager Priyanshu Thakur, chief general manager Rajiv Modak (49), bar manager Rajveer Singhania (32), and general manager Vivek Singh (27).
One employee, Bharat (49), who was responsible for the daily operations of the club, has been detained by the Goa police in Delhi.
