Bhopal Constituency Election Result 2023: The Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 29 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Madhya Pradesh. It is a general category Parliament seat. It comprises the entire Bhopal district and a part of the Sehore district. The counting of votes to elect MLAs on all eight constituencies in Bhopal is underway.
Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, and home to the Chief Minister and governor, currently comprises eight Legislative Assembly segments – Berasia (SC), Bhopal Uttar, Narela, Bhopal Dakshin-Paschim, Bhopal Madhya, Govindpura, Huzur and Sehore.
All the Assembly segments under the Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency are set to witness a tight battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. In Berasia, the BJP has fielded Vishnu Khatri who is up against Congress’ Jayshree Harikiran. For Bhopal Uttar constituency, BJP has fielded Alok Sharma who will be given a tough fight by Congress’ candidate and current MLA from the seat, Arif Aqueel.

From Narela, BJP’s Vishwas Sarang is up against Congress’ Manoj Shukla. For the Bhopal Dakshin-Paschim Assembly constituency, Bhagwan Das Sabnani from BJP has been fielded against Congress candidate PC Sharma. Bhopal Madhya will see a fierce battle between Dhruv Narayan Singh from BJP and Arif Masood from Congress. BJP’s Krishna Gaur vs Congress’ Ravindra Sahu in Govindpura.
Huzur assembly seat will see Rameshwar Sharma (BJP) against Naresh Gyanchandani (Congress) and Sehore will see a battle between Sudesh Rai (BJP) and Shashank Saxena (Congress).
In the 2018 assembly elections, of these eight constituencies, five were won by the BJP and three were triumphed by the Congress.

Congress' Arif Masood won from the Bhopal Madhya Assembly constituency by clinching 82,371 votes. BJP candidate Dhruv Narayan Singh lost by a margin of 15,891 votes.
Congress' Atif Arif Aqueel won from the Bhopal Uttar Assembly constituency by clinching over 96,000 votes. BJP candidate Alok Sharma lost by a margin of over 26,987 votes.
BJP's Krishna Gaur won from the Govindpura Assembly constituency by clinching over 1,73,159 votes. Congress candidate Ravindra Sahu lost by a margin of over 1,06,668 votes.
BJP's Sudesh Rai won from the Sehore Assembly constituency by clinching over 1,05,997 votes. Congress candidate Shashank Ramesh Saxena lost by a margin of over 37,851 votes.
BJP's Rameshwar Sharma won from the Huzur Assembly constituency by clinching over 1,77,755 votes. Congress candidate Naresh Gyanchandani lost by a margin of over 97,910 votes.
BJP workers burst firecrackers at the party office in Bhopal as the party heads towards a massive victory in the state.
“I dedicate this win to our Ladli Behnas and PM Modi. We will take Madhya Pradesh forward…,” said Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to party workers as the party leads towards a landslide victory in the state.
Congress candidate Atif Arif Aqueel is ahead with a slight margin of 200 votes with BJP's Alok Sharma giving a tight fight.

As per the latest Election Commission trends, Congress candidate Arif Masood in the Bhopal Madhya assembly constituency has taken a lead by securing over 12,000 votes so far.

As per the latest election trends, BJP candidate Bhagwandas Sabnani is ahead with over 5,000 votes.

Counting across 230 Assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh will begin at 8 am on Sunday, December 3. Counting of postal ballots will start at 8 am and at 8.30 am EVM counting will begin.
