Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda on Monday appointed Benjamin Yepthomi as the new state president of Nagaland unit of the party.
The official notification stated that the appointment will come into effect immediately.
Benjamin Yepthomi was earlier the vice president of Nagaland state BJP and former state president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Nagaland for two consecutive terms.
Yepthomi will replace Temjen Imna Along as the party state president. Along was appointed as the president in January 2020.
