Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the IPL 2024 Match 40 which is scheduled to take place at Arun Jaitley Stadium. 

The IPL 2024 match between Delhi Capital and Gujarat Titans will take place tomorrow, on April 23, 2024 from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

The traffic police of the city have issued an advisory and guidelines to avoid traffic congestion and a smooth flow of vehicles across the city. 

Delhi Traffic Police Issues Advisory 

Delhi Traffic Police posted the traffic advisory on X, formerly Twitter, alerting the commuters about the possible diversions and other recommendations.

Diversion Plan

According to the Delhi Traffic Police’s advisory, there will be diversion and restriction on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg. Delhi Traffic Police has requested the commuters to avoid the below-mentioned roads from 5 pm to 8 pm tomorrow, April 24, 2024.

Roads to avoid:

  • Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg from Delhi gate to ITO Chowk
  • JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate.

Delhi Traffic Police Traffic Advisory – Other Facilities

The Delhi Traffic Police has also mentioned a shuttle facility available for match spectators who might use the Metro at ITO Metro Station and Pragati Maidan Metro Station. 

There is also a Park and Ride facility available. It is as mentioned below:

  • Mata Sundari Marg Parking for Gate No. 1 to 8 and 16 to 18.
  • Rajghat Power House Road and Velodrome Road for Gate No. 9 to 15.

The traffic police advises the spectators to park their vehicles at the mentioned locations and avail the shuttle facility to reach the match venue.

Pick & Drop Point

General public and motorists are advised to maintain patience and adhere to traffic regulations as they navigate through specific areas including Gate No. 2 of Maulana Azad Medical College on BSZ Marg (ITO to Delhi Gate Carriageway) and Rajghat Chowk. It’s essential to follow the guidance of traffic personnel stationed at intersections.
