At least 40 private schools in Bengaluru were hit with bomb threats Friday after the major Delhi scare. That same day, more than 20 schools in the national capital faced similar scares. An investigation has been launched to look into the matter. Authorities promptly deployed the Bomb Disposal Squad personnel, while strict checks unfolded on the school premises.
Much like Delhi’s case, the Bengaluru institutions were also threatened via email. An electronic message titled “BOMBS INSIDE THE SCHOOL” triggered panic at several schools, as per an India Today report. The email’s sender was reportedly listed as someone with the ID ‘roadkill333@atomicmail.io.’ They suggested that multiple explosives with TNT had been planted in classrooms.

Bengaluru school bomb threats: What the email said
Noting that the devices had been “skillfully hidden in black plastic bags,” they further instilled fear among school personnel, saying, “I will erase every last one of you from this world. Not a single soul will survive. I will gladly laugh when I will watch the news, only to see the parents show up at the school and to be greeted by the cold, dismembered bodies of their children.”
Alerting the schools to push out a copy of the message to the press, the email claimed that everyone deserved to suffer. More alarming statements followed, as they wrote, “I truly hate my life, I will commit suicide after the news kick in. I will slit my throat and slit my wrists. I was never truly helped, psychiatrists, psychologists, no one has ever cared and no one will ever care. You only care about medicating the helpless and clueless humans.”
On July 18, over 20 schools in Delhi – including St Xaviers in Civil Lines, Sovereign School and Abhinav Public School in Rohini, received bomb threats, making it the fourth day of such scares leaving the capital shell-shocked. Sent to 23 schools, the message read, “I will erase every last one of you from this world. Not a single soul will survive. I will gladly laugh when I will watch the news, only to see the parents show up at the school and to be greeted by the cold, dismembered bodies of their children.”
A threatening message addressed to Richmond Global School in the Paschim Vihar area further triggered concerns owing to its foreboding tone. “Hello. I am writing to let you know that I have placed several explosive devices (trinitrotoluene) within school classrooms,” the threat stated, as per ANI.
