Exit poll results 2019: Almost all exit polls have predicted a clean sweep for the BJP-led NDA in the four western states — Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa and Maharashtra. These four states account for a sizeable 101 seats collectively and pollsters have projected the BJP-led NDA to win over 90 seats among them. If the predictions hold true, the results would suggest a situation very similar to the kind of support the BJP saw in 2014.
In the last Lok Sabha elections, the BJP and its allies had won 95 seats— 42 out of 48 seats in Maharashtra, 25 out of 25 seats in Rajasthan, 2 out of 2 seats in Goa, and 26 out of 26 seats in Gujarat.
Republic-CVoter has projected 34 out of 48 seats for NDA in Maharashtra, Jan Ki Baat has predicted 34-39 seats for BJP-Shiv Sena alliance. India Today-Axis poll has projected 38-42 seats for the NDA and 6-10 seats for the UPA in Maharashtra.
According to the India Today exit polls, the BJP is once again sweeping Rajasthan. It has projected to get 23-25 out of 25 seats in this western state. India Today-Axis has also projected a sweep for the BJP in Goa. As per its survey, the BJP is winning both the parliamentary seats in this state.
News18-IPSOS has predicted 25-26 seats out of 26 for the NDA in Gujarat. It has projected 42-45 seats for the NDA and 4-6 seats for UPA in Maharashtra.
Today’s Chanakya has predicted a win on 22-25 seats for the BJP in Rajasthan. Congress could get three seats in the state. It has projected 22-24 seats for the BJP in Gujarat. The grand old party could get two seats here. Almost all the exit polls have predicted the second term for BJP-led NDA. The alliance is expected to get between 280 to 336 seats. In 2014, the BJP had won 282 on its own and 335 with its alliance partners.
