Zepto will now deliver Apple products including the latest iPhone 16e, AirPods, charging accessories and more in around 10 minutes. The announcement was made by the startup’s Co-founder and CEO Aadit Palicha in a LinkedIn post on Tuesday.
“In the last 60 days, we had over a million searches from customers for Apple device products on Zepto. We listened! Today, I’m excited to announce the formal launch of Apple products on Zepto. Kudos to Zepto’s exceptional electronics team for pulling this off,” Palicha said.
Swiggy Instamart already delivers Apple products while Blinkit had announced two weeks back that it has started delivering Apple products including iPad, AirPods, MacBook Air, Apple Watch, etc., in select Indian cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Kolkata.
As quick commerce mirrors the rapid e-commerce growth recorded in the previous decade, the new age platforms such as Zepto, Blinkit, Instamart and others are looking to sell almost everything on their platforms, starting from grocery and daily essentials to beauty and personal care products, electronics, toys, stationary, kitchen and dining products, fashion, and more.
The platforms had recently forayed into food delivery as well to provide snacks, meals and beverages in 10 minutes to customers, leveraging their existing supply chain and logistics efficiencies.
Driven by customer adoption, market evolution, and a visible path to profitability, quick commerce industry in India continues to gain traction. According to a recent report by Bain & Company and IVCA, quick commerce is estimated to have more than 10 per cent share in the gross merchandise value (GMV) of India’s e-commerce sector in FY25.
India’s e-commerce market is expected to grow from $123 billion in 2024 to $300 billion in 2030, as per a report by Brickwork Ratings in October last year. As a part of the e-commerce sector, the quick commerce vertical is likely to reach $5 billion in GMV in 2025 with the monthly transacting users growing by over 40 per cent and average monthly orders per customer jumping from 4.4 in 2021 to six in 2024, according to a TeamLease report on quick commerce earlier this month.
