Amazon sale for MSMEs: Amazon Business, the wholesale unit of e-commerce company Amazon in India, on Wednesday, announced offerings for its business customers during its current Great Indian Festival Sale 2023. The company said customers on Amazon Business can save up to 28 per cent extra with GST invoice and 40 per cent more with bulk purchase discounts on over 15,000 GST-enabled products.
“With a GST-enabled selection of over 19 Crore products offered by more than 10 lakh sellers, businesses can now save big on their purchases,” the company announced in a statement.
The company has announced discounts and deals for merchants and small businesses on various categories, such as laptops, desktops and monitors, appliances, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, fridges, office chairs, security cameras, etc.
The platform has listed over 19 crore GST-registered products offered by more than 10 lakh sellers. Earlier on its sixth anniversary, the platform announced its integration with Amazon Pay Later, the instant credit service by Amazon.
Along with the deals during the sale, Amazon Business has also introduced the ‘Corporate Gifting Store’ to cater to business gifting needs. Businesses can bulk purchase corporate gifts for their employees, clients and other stakeholders and also have the option to customize and personalize corporate gifts according to their needs.
Launched in 207 with 14,000 sellers, Amazon Business caters to small businesses, hospitals, clinics, manufacturers, universities, schools, NGOs, government bodies and offices. Moreover, Amazon’s bill-to-ship-to facility allows businesses to claim tax credit.
Earlier this month, in an interaction with FE Aspire, Gaurav Bhatnagar, Head of Seller Acquisition and Development at Amazon India said that for businesses joining Amazon during the festive season, the company had rolled out a couple of initiatives such as first, a 50 per cent referral fee waiver to support ‘new to e-commerce businesses’ during this festive season. All new sellers registering on Amazon.in between August 27 and November 4, 2023, will be eligible for a 50 per cent waiver on referral fees for a period of 60 days.

Moreover, from the technical front, the company had launched a Self Service Registration (SSR) 2.0 which makes it easy for sellers to register on the marketplace, list their products, and start selling on Amazon, Bhatnagar said.
