Chief Minister Hemant Soren conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing Siramtoli-Mecon flyover project in Ranchi on Tuesday, emphasising his government’s commitment to timely infrastructure development. Accompanied by his wife, JMM MLA Kalpana Soren, and senior officials from the Road Construction Department, the CM expressed satisfaction with the project’s progress.

“Efforts are underway to complete the project at the earliest. The progress over the past two years has been commendable. Previously, we also completed and inaugurated a flyover in Ranchi ahead of schedule,” Soren said. He reiterated the administration’s dedication to ensuring the successful completion of the flyover.

What is Siramtoli-Mecon flyover project?

The Siramtoli-Mecon flyover, spanning 2.34 kilometres, includes a 132-meter stretch over a railway line and is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 340 crore. The project, which began in August 2022, aims to enhance urban mobility and reduce traffic congestion in Ranchi, a growing concern for residents.

Soren’s visit follows the recent inauguration of the Kantatoli flyover on October 4, which has already brought significant relief to the city’s traffic woes. The Kantatoli flyover was completed before its scheduled deadline, showcasing the government’s commitment to prioritizing infrastructure and urban development.

The Siramtoli-Mecon flyover, once completed, is expected to improve connectivity further and reduce bottlenecks in Ranchi. The Chief Minister’s inspection reflects his proactive approach to monitoring key developmental projects. With work progressing steadily, residents of Ranchi eagerly await the benefits this flyover will bring to the city’s transportation network.
