In a bid to accommodate the surge in passenger demand during the festive season, Western Railway has announced the launch of special unreserved trains on select routes. The new services, which will run between Bandra Terminus and Gorakhpur, as well as from Udhna to Chhapra, are set to provide greater travel options at special fares.
Details of the Special Trains
According to Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Shri Vineet Abhishek, the trains will operate as follows:
Bandra Terminus – Gorakhpur Unreserved Festival Special
Train No. 05030/05029 will operate for a total of 8 trips.
- Train No. 05030: Departs from Bandra Terminus at 07:10 hrs, reaching Gorakhpur at 16:15 hrs the following day. This train will operate on October 31, and November 4, 8, and 12, 2024.
- Train No. 05029: Returns from Gorakhpur, departing at 19:00 hrs and arriving at Bandra Terminus at 05:00 hrs on the second day. This service will run on November 2, 6, and 10, 2024.
Stops: Key halts include Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Udhna, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Bharatpur, Mathura, and several other stations en route to Gorakhpur.
Coach Composition: This train will feature General Second Class Coaches.
Udhna – Chhapra Unreserved Special Train
Train No. 05022 will operate as a one-time trip on October 30, 2024.
- Departure: Leaves Udhna at 20:00 hrs and arrives in Chhapra at 07:30 hrs on October 31.
Stops: The train will halt at multiple stations, including Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Bharatpur, Mathura, and key stations leading up to Chhapra.
Coach Composition: The train will consist of General Second Class Coaches.
