Nischintapur Railway Station in Tripura aims to streamline cross-border travel and commerce between India and Bangladesh, strategically positioned near Agartala. Anil Kumar Khandelwal, Member Infrastructure of the Railway Board and ex officio Secretary to the Government of India, conducted a thorough inspection of the station today, emphasising its role in enhancing bilateral connectivity.
Khandelwal highlighted the station’s significance in bolstering ties between the two nations, emphasising its potential to improve travel, trade, and cultural exchanges. The station boasts top-notch facilities and infrastructure, promising to strengthen economic relations and promote regional integration.

With construction work completed swiftly, the station is nearly ready for operation, pending its official inauguration. Railway officials are diligently preparing for a seamless transition upon opening, anticipating its role as a pivotal point in the India-Bangladesh partnership.
