Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha on Friday expressed his admiration for the Vande Bharat train service, calling it a ‘game changer’ for the Indian Railways.

On a journey from Maldaha to Howrah aboard one of the semi-high-speed Vande Bharat trains, Dr. Saha praised the train service’s efficiency and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian Railways for its implementation.

“In the Amrit Kaal, Vande Bharat trains are going to be the game changer. Today after my 2 days visit to South & North Maldaha Lok Sabha Constituencies, I am taking the journey in New train of New India from Maldaha to Howrah via Vande Bharat Express,” said Saha in a social media post on X.

During his trip, he also shared a video clip of himself while reading a book during the train journey. Saha commended Vande Bharat’s service and underscored its potential impact on the nation’s transportation landscape.

Vande Bharat’s advance tech 

The Vande Bharat Express showcases a significant advancement in India’s railway technology, boasting world-class passenger services and the ability to achieve high speeds through efficient acceleration and deceleration. 

With journey time reductions ranging from 25 to 45 percent, it promises enhanced travel experiences for passengers.

The semi-high speed train can attain speeds of up to 160 kmph, offering travel classes akin to the Shatabdi Train but with superior facilities. The inaugural journey of the Vande Bharat Express took place on February 15, 2019. 

Impact on Northeast 

As India witnesses the transformative impact of the Vande Bharat Express, its arrival holds particular significance for Northeast India. The region, historically challenged by connectivity issues, benefits significantly from the improved travel times and enhanced passenger experience offered by the Vande Bharat service.
