Becoming richer than Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Taylor Swift, and Jay-Z combined, Musk is also on his way to becoming the world’s first trillionaire. As his shocking $56 billion pay-package row was green-flagged yesterday, it paved the way to increase Tesla’s value to $8 trillion.

With a $749 billion net worth as per Forbes, Elon Musk owns about 12 per cent of Tesla. He founded the space giant SpaceX in 2002, making him the owner of a billion-dollar spaceship. His historic deal with Twitter was finalised at a whopping $44 billion in 2022 and merged with xAI in March, making the combined worth of the entity $125 billion. Here’s a look at Elon Musk’s luxury assets, included in his $700 billion net worth.

Elon Musk’s fleet of private jets

Musk operates a vast fleet of private jets, linked to both Tesla and SpaceX. One of his flagship palaces on wheels includes a Gulfstream G700. Reportedly worth $78 million, it has five fully-equipped living area. Registered to Musk’s aviation entity, it also has twenty oval windows and is one of his prized possessions. Among other aircraft, Musk also owns an ultra-long-range workhouse – the Gulfstream G650ER. Equipped with powerful Rolls-Royce engines, it is a true billionaire vehicle. Apart from the lavish interiors, the seats feature handcrafted upholstery which can swivel, recline, and convert to beds.

Musk purchased one of the most desirable supercars, the McLaren F1, with a price tag which exceeded $1 million. He chose to buy the car, over his ‘own no house’ motto, which he famously lives by. His garage also flaunts the swanky Lotus Esprit “Wet Nellie”, which is a modified submarine car from the James Bond 007 franchise.

In addition to his Tesla hypercars, Musk also owns a 1920 Ford Model T, 1967 Jaguar E-Type Roadster, BMW M1, and 1978 Porsche 935 King of the Hill.

‘Top-secret’ Tesla-built homes

The EV mogul prefers owning smaller properties over luxurious mansions. In 2020-21, he finalised a $62.5 million deal when he sold off most of his mansions to stand by his motto. However, he does own small properties near Tesla offices, such as a $50,000 tiny home, which serves as his primary residence. In Texas, the billionaire also owns two adjacent homes worth $35 million for his family members. Reports claim that there is also a ‘top-secret’ accommodation near the houses.

Among his 2020 real estate deals were a $40 million estate in Hillsborough which spanned across 47 acres and had its own ballroom. The Bay Area Bel Air mansions were worth even higher, estimated at nearly $100 million alone, as per Architectural Digest.
