South Western Railway has announced a one-way special train from KSR Bengaluru to Prayagraj to manage the passenger rush for the Kumbh Mela. Train No. 06577, the KSR Bengaluru – Prayagraj One Way Kumbh Express Special, will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 23:00 hrs on Thursday, December 26, 2024, and reach Prayagraj at 13:30 hrs on Saturday, December 28, 2024. This service is being operated for a single trip only.

The train will consist of 15 Sleeper Class coaches, 3 General Second Class coaches, and 2 Second Class coaches designed to be Divyangjan-friendly. It will stop at several key stations, including Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Renigunta, Gudur, Vijayawada, Warangal, Balharshah, Nagpur, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, and Manikpur.

South Western Railway also has announced the operation of special trains between Vasco da Gama and Velankanni. These services aim to provide convenient travel for pilgrims and passengers heading to Velankanni during the festive season.

Train No. 07375 Vasco da Gama – Velankanni Express Special departed from Vasco da Gama at 14:30 hrs on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, and arrived Velankanni at 14:00 hrs the following day. In the return direction, Train No. 07376 Velankanni – Vasco da Gama Express Special will leave Velankanni at 16:00 hrs on Thursday, December 26, 2024, and reach Vasco da Gama at 16:10 hrs the next day.
