South Central Railway on Saturday (June 22) issued a notification regarding changes in train services due to Pre Non Interlocking (PNIL) and Non Interlocking (NIL) works for the commissioning of 3rd lines between Asifabad Road and Rechni Road stations in the Kazipet – Balharshah section of Secunderabad Division. 

These changes will affect several trains, including the 12621 Dr MGR Chennai Central – New Delhi Tamil Nadu Superfast Express.

The 12621 Dr MGR Chennai Central – New Delhi Tamil Nadu Superfast Express, scheduled to depart from Dr MGR Chennai Central at 22:00 hrs on 03rd, 04th, and 05th July 2024, will undergo a diversion in its route. Instead of its usual route, the train will be diverted to run via Warangal, Kazipet, Nizamabad, Mudkhed, Pimpal Khuti, and Majri stations during this period.

“Train No. 12621 Dr MGR Chennai Central – New Delhi Tamil Nadu Superfast Express leaving Dr MGR Chennai Central at 22.00 hrs o­n 03rd, 04th & 05th July, 2024 will be diverted to run via Warangal,  Kazipet, Nizamabad, Mudkhed, Pimpal Khuti, and  Majri,” the statement said. 

These changes are necessitated by the ongoing infrastructure enhancement works aimed at improving rail connectivity and operational efficiency in the Kazipet – Balharshah section. Passengers are advised to take note of these alterations and plan their travel accordingly.
