Following several train mishaps, some of which claimed multiple lives, Union Minister Ravneet Singh has claimed that  “some dangerous things” and “conspiracies” have come to light in probes into the recent railway accidents in India.

He told PTI that earlier, an alloy wheel was found on a railway track in Aligarh. “It means big conspiracies are also being revealed,” he added. He further claimed that attempts are being made by people sitting in foreign countries to disrupt the railways in the country.

He also said the recent cases of railway accidents show that they were carried out “intentionally”.

Secunderabad Railway station

Singh visited the Secunderabad Railway station and reviewed its upgradation plans, a press release from South Central Railway revealed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone for the upgradation, adding that 27 per cent of the major work has been completed.

The total cost of upgrading the station is approximately Rs 700 crore and is likely to get over by 2026, Singh said. The redeveloped station will have modern architecture and world-class passenger amenities.

Secunderabad Railway Station will undergo a complete transformation, elevating it to the standards of airports, embodying the aspirations of a New India, he claimed. The station will also be a green energy hub, equipped with solar panels for energy harnessing and sewage treatment plants to mitigate water pollution, he added.
