North Western Railway’s mega block
Furthermore, a mega block was also scheduled for the redevelopment of Gandhinagar station in Jaipur, managed by the North Western Railway. During this period, railway services were temporarily halted to facilitate the extensive construction work.
According to railway officials, construction is underway for a 72×48 meter air concourse at Gandhinagar Jaipur station. This concourse will link both sides of the station and will feature amenities such as kiosks, shopping malls, cafeterias, and entertainment zones for railway passengers and city residents.
“This marks the first-ever girder launching for an air concourse connecting platforms at a station of this scale within North Western Railway and Rajasthan,” officials remarked on the significance of the milestone.
