The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has enhanced the RRTS Connect app with new features, including ticket booking, live train tracking, and station navigation, according to a statement released on Saturday, PTI reported.
The updated RRTS Connect app aims to make travel on Namo Bharat trains more convenient. Available on Google Play and the Apple Store, the app now offers several new features to ensure a comfortable journey for passengers on India’s first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Corridor.
Ticket Booking and Payment Options
Passengers can now book their journey tickets using the ‘plan your journey’ option, with payments accepted via UPI, debit or credit card, and net banking. Users can also review their transaction history and download invoices.
A new live train tracking feature provides real-time status and tracking of Namo Bharat trains at the passenger’s station within the next 30 minutes. Additionally, the app shows information about the next station towards Delhi or Meerut, the distance to it, and the estimated arrival time. A complete timetable of train services, including start and end times for all days of the week, is also available.
The app’s feeder bus services feature provides information about bus stops near the starting point of the journey and the nearest available RRTS station, including bus arrival and departure times for better travel planning.
Passengers can also book bikes, autos, and cabs at stations through a link to the Rapido app, addressing the crucial need for last-mile connectivity.
The station facilities option enhances travel experience by displaying the name and location of the nearest RRTS station, along with key nearby landmarks. It includes details on drinking water and restroom availability, entry and exit gate status, and which gates are open for passengers.
Additionally, the app offers platform information, train directions, and the operational status of lifts and escalators. Parking information, showing the number of two-wheeler and four-wheeler parking spaces available, is provided, along with the complete station layout design of the platform and concourse levels.
The contact number for the station control room is included in the app. Passengers can contact the control room for assistance or send WhatsApp messages for help or suggestions. Information about major attractions near RRTS corridor stations and a system map detailing all the stations on the corridor are also available.
The lost and found feature lists all recovered items, along with the date, time, and station where they were found, and includes the procedure for recovery.
