Western Railway has announced a scheduled Jumbo Block between Churchgate and Mumbai Central stations on Sunday, October 27, 2024. The block, set to last five hours from 10:35 a.m. to 3:35 p.m., will facilitate essential maintenance work on tracks, signaling systems, and overhead equipment.

Changes to Train Operations

According to the Western Railway Public Relations Department, during this period, all UP and DOWN Fast line trains will be rerouted to operate on the Slow lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central. Some suburban services will be canceled, while select Churchgate-bound trains will terminate early or reverse at Bandra or Dadar stations.

Commuters are advised to check with Station Masters for detailed information on train schedules, rerouting, and cancellations during the block hours.

Additional Information: Earlier this week, a block for the launching of Bow String Girders for the construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) between Udvada-Vapi stations, and another for girder launching between Atul-Valsad of the Mumbai Central Division, led to delays on October 24. Impacted trains included:

  • 20907 Dadar-Bhuj Sayajinagri SF Exp: Delayed by 55 minutes
  • 20908 Bhuj-Dadar Sayajinagri SF Exp: Delayed by 45 minutes
  • 12926 Amritsar-Mumbai Central Paschim Exp: Delayed by 30 minutes
