Central Railway has announced a mega block on the Harbour and Slow lines on Sunday, November 17, to carry out essential maintenance work.A mega block will be in effect between Kurla and Vashi on both UP and DOWN Harbour lines from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm.
Harbour Line Mega Block
The following service changes will apply:
- Cancelled Services: DOWN Harbour line trains from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Vashi, Belapur, and Panvel, departing between 10:34 am and 3:36 pm, will be canceled. Similarly, UP Harbour line trains to CSMT from Panvel, Belapur, and Vashi, scheduled between 10:16 am and 3:47 pm, will not run.
- Special Services: To minimize inconvenience, special train services will operate between CSMT-Kurla and Kurla-Panvel/Vashi during the block period.
- Alternate Routes: Passengers on the Harbour line will be allowed to travel via Thane-Vashi/Nerul from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Slow Line Mega Block
Another mega block will affect the Slow lines between Matunga and Mulund from 11:05 am to 3:55 pm. The details of service changes are as follows:
- DOWN Slow Line Diversions: Services departing CSMT between 10:14 am and 3:52 pm will be diverted onto the DOWN fast line between Matunga and Mulund. These trains will halt at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, and Mulund, and will rejoin the DOWN slow line at Mulund. They will arrive at their destinations approximately 15 minutes later than usual.
- UP Slow Line Diversions: Trains leaving Thane between 11:07 am and 3:51 pm will be diverted onto the UP fast line at Mulund, stopping at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla, and Sion. These services will rejoin the UP slow line at Matunga and will also be delayed by around 15 minutes.
